Direct Commission (DC) Program

USAR Direct Commission CW2 crest U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) Warrant Officer Quartermaster Branch is strengthening its leadership pipeline through a specialized Direct Commission (DC) program designed to elevate exceptional Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) within key feeder Military Occupational Specialties (MOSs) 92A, 92G, 92F, 92R, 92W, and 92Y to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Two (CW2).

High performing Senior NCOs who apply for a Quartermaster Warrant Officer MOS and are selected to attend and graduate Warrant Officer Candidate school (WOCS), may be eligible for promotion following the successful completion of the Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC), reinforcing the Quartermaster Corps’ commitment to technical expertise and operational excellence in sustainment operations.

Qualifications

Meet the standard WO administrative qualifications and the WO MOS prerequisites, along with these additional requirements specific Direct Commission program:

  • Holding the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC) or above, with documented leadership experience in essential Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors (KSBs) relevant to their feeder MOS.
  • Possessing an associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Graduating from a senior-level NCO Education System course (SLC or MLC).
  • Demonstrating superior performance in key MOS assignments, substantiated by evaluations, certifications, and notable achievements.
  • Being a U.S. Army applicant (DC selection is not open to sister-service applicants such as the Navy, Air Force, or Marines).

USAR WO Application Process
